Maria Mukhortova is a Russian pair skater. She is born November 20th, 1985, in St. Petersburg. Mukhortova started skating when she was 6 years old.Maria competes together with Maxim Trankov. They are silver medalists from 2008 European championship and also a Russian National Champions. As of February 2010, she and her partner on the ice were ranked 5th in the world .At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Maria Mukhortova ranked 7th.
